Hope Kidney Foundation is a philanthropic, non-government organization established in January, 1994, in Lahore, Pakistan, with a view to help kidney failure patients and their families. Kidney failure mostly leads to life-long (chronic) kidney disease which warrants either permanent dialysis or transplant. Both the treatments are very expensive and even the richest of nations barely afford it what to talk about third world countries where thousands die each year including young ones, due to non-affordability or non-availability of treatment. Hope Kidney Foundation was organized by Dr. Salman Shakoh and Sh. Moeen-ud-Din, a businessman, with a view to help patients with kidney failure and their families through different means apart from creating awareness in the society. |
